Thanks for the advice @John & @newguy. I need a new suit, and this seems like a good buy in comparison to some I've looked at.

I got one last year and it fits good and warm. Hope never have to find out if it floats.

@ John Whyte what do you think of the 1 pc salus 1200 floater suit? CTC has them on sale this week.
That is a comfortable suit and well worth the money.

Time to get back at it!

    Hello Everyone,

Great Forum, really like the Ice Fishing Video Updates about the Ice. Always being smart and knowing they are only guide lines, but nice to have at least a starting point. Been fishing Quinte since late 80's off and on, time to get it rolling again. Fell threw the ice way back when! this was caused by someone not marking that they had moved there ice hut. All it takes is a stick to mark it.....lets think of others on the ice when out and about! Best $300 I ever spent on a suit....popped me out like a bobber, I was lucky!

We will mostly be coming off the west side of Big Island from County Rd, 14 to the north shore of the Island out from Wagers Farm with Snowmobiles.....any concerns we should have, like pressure cracks or current in the area that would cause abnormal thin Ice?

Hope to see you out on the Ice!

    Be safe, Cheers!
