Oct. 20, 14 Orillia, ON Time on the Water Canada Acquires Fishing Bay of Quinte

Time on the Water Canada (TOTWC) is pleased to announce its continued growth with the acquisition of the popular “Fishing Bay of Quinte” fishing forum. Time on the Water Canada is owned and operated by John Whyte the publisher of Ontario’s most popular series of fishing forums. Currently these popular sites include: Lake Simcoe Message Board www.lakesimcoemessageboard.com , SpoonPullers www.spoonpullers.com , Georgian Bay Message Board www.georgianbaymessageboard.com , Lake Nipissing Message Board www.lakenipissingmessageboard.com and www.timeonthewater.ca As with all of these sites, fishingbayofquinte.com will benefit by experiencing an extended reach and increased exposure within a broad angling community. In turn, the added networking capabilities of this union of fishing forums will benefit Ontario’s recreational fishing industry and locally serve to highlight what is already considered to be one of the most popular fishing destinations in the country.

    About Bay of Quinte:
The Bay of Quinte is world renowned as the walleye trophy capital of North America. 10-15 + lb walleye are not only common here, but typically an ‘expected catch” and home for Personal Bests with anglers from across North America. The same prolific waters were also voted as the No.1 largemouth bass destination for quantity by In-Fisherman Magazine in 2012. The number of bass tournaments hosted at various locations around the bay every year, are testament to the area’s popularity among the hard core bass crowd. Although yellow perch, smallmouth bass and northern pike fishing here can be exceptional … they do admittedly take a back seat to the top two sought after species. “One of the benefits of fishingbayofquinte.com is that it serves to highlight the entire fishery … regardless of what species anglers wish to target”, said Whyte.

Although there are other web sites providing information about specific areas or special interests, Fishing Bay of Quinte will be a single source resource for the entire waterway bordered by Prince Edward County and the Cities of Brighten, Quinte West, Belleville, Deseronto, and Napanee. “Our goal is to use fishingbayofquinte.com as a vehicle to drum up visitations within these communities by anglers who may have never fished Quinte or who haven’t experienced its remarkable charm in quite some time. This will help promote tourism and provide major economic impacts directly within these communities”, said John Whyte.

The web site, was originally designed by Aron Locke of Helm Studio who is an avid angler from the area. He has a wealth of information about local boat launches, accommodations, boat rentals, marinas, charters and guides. Building upon what Aron has begun the new fishingbayofquinte will provide even more community based dynamic content such as ice reports, local events, and current news about the area. “We will try to provide visitors with information that can make their trip to The Bay of Quinte a better and safer experience and will work with Bay of Quinte Tourism to provide more information about local events relating to outdoor activities, concluded Whyte.

The web site and fishing forum are already operational and have several years of history and fishing reports. TOTWC will add new fresh content daily including contests, Tip of the Week from local guides and charters, and local area news relating to this incredible fishery. We look forward to continued success and growth for TOTWC and encourage all those interested in fishing the Bay of Quinte to get hooked on our exciting new site and become regular contributors to this remarkable angling community.
