2015 Bass Champs

2015 Annual Quinte Bass Champs on Bass Opener 20 June 2015.
$1000 for big fish EVERY HOUR
$500 for 2nd big fish EVERY HOUR

One of the most exciting and fun trends in tournament fishing these days is hourly weigh-in. This format adds a level of strategy beyond simply weighing in 5 big fish. With hourly weigh-ins you can choose the time interval to weigh in your biggest fish. If you think your fish will be the biggest on any given weigh-in interval you can take your chances and that no one else has caught a bigger fish that hour.

Quinte Bass Champs has put it all together and after only 4 years has become the most attended opening week tournament of the year. For more information check out

New Sponsor – Day on the Bay Fishing Charter

Day on the Bay Fishing Charter will provide a worry free guided fishing trip in beautiful Algonquin Provincial Park, Ottawa Valley, and The Bay Of Quinte. We operate out of Bark Lake and Golden Lake which are located near Barry’s Bay Ontario, as well as Lake Opeongo and Smoke Lake which are located in the spectacular wilderness of Algonquin Provincial Park. In the Fall we target Trophy Walleye in The Bay of Quinte near Picton, ON.

Great Article about Gearing Up for Walleye

Great article by James Mathias about using local tackle shops to give you an edge.

“With thousands of boats literally everywhere on the Bay of Quinte looking for that ‘trophy’ to bring to the podium, everyone is looking for something to give them an edge. This year I tried local suppliers to get my edge. While other anglers are making their way to the big box stores, I find it better to visit local businesses that not only specialize but have staff with personal experience.”

Hidden Weight is Back – With a Twist!

April 30, 2012

The Hidden Weight is back again this year but we’re doing things a little differently.

Instead of doing one Hidden Weight for the entire derby we are doing a Hidden Weight for each individual weigh station!!!!

Each Weigh Station will be accepting fish as usual but now you could possibly win at each weigh station their special Hidden Weight prize!

The Winner will be determined after the derby but all fish between 4 and 6 lbs will qualify for the Hidden Weight prize! The exact Hidden Weight for each Weigh Station will be determined at 4 PM Sunday afternoon!
